So I had no idea how many different varieties of bananas were out there, and the medicinal properties of the fruit pulp and peel, until I read this article.  I found it really interesting that the peel can be made into a poultice and used on burns and wounds for healing.  I was also surprised to find out that leaving the inside of a banana peel on a wart will help remove and heal it!  How neat!  There are plenty of other really interesting medicinal properties that bananas possess, so I encourage reading the article and learning about this amazingly versatile fruit.  This article also details the medicinal and nutritive constituents of the Musa spp. (bananas), and reviews articles that have found medicinal evidence of this fruit\’s use in healing internal and external illness.  Hope you enjoy reading, thanks, and be aware and eat with care 🙂
